The Supportive Care Nurse provides one-to-one bedside care for terminally ill patients, based on ongoing nursing assessments and in accordance with the established care plan. This full-time role involves three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends, and is eligible for a $5,000 bonus. Part-time and PRN options are also available. Responsibilities include: Providing compassionate end-of-life care aligned with each patient's care plan, assessing and responding to patient and family needs promptly. Educating patients and caregivers about end-of-life issues, available services, and resources. Documenting complex medical information using clinical tools and data to assess patient needs. Building professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers through strong communication skills. Utilizing basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Working night shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, three shifts per week, including every other weekend. Providing care in private residences, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities across Kentucky and Ohio. SIGN ON BONUS! $2,500 after six months and another $2,500 after one year of full-time employment. Requirements: Professional: Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current licensure or eligibility in Kentucky and Ohio. At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Personal: Empathy, responsibility, dependability, effective communication, ability to work independently, leadership, and teaching skills. Physical: Ability to access various care sites independently, lift at least 50 pounds, and use personal protective equipment properly. Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
