Job Summary Full Time Craft worker, Baltimore, MD, US. Pay DOE. Shift: Wednesday-Saturday, 10 hours per day. Department: B level Fleet Service Diesel Mechanics / Technicians. Johnson & Towers, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier. This role requires previous experience as a diesel technician. You will join our service team to perform skilled tasks in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet equipment at customer sites, with the opportunity for advancement. Key Responsibilities Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls. Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and complete repairs, addressing and resolving customer vehicle or equipment concerns promptly. Commit to safety and cleanliness. Maintain open communication with the management team regarding job status, updates, and changes. Requirements This position services fleet equipment at customer sites. Driving record must be in good standing. Physical Demands Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. Frequent use of hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, stretching, or twisting to perform repairs and inspections is common. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
