Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and help maintain an organized and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include facilitating patient flow, documenting vital signs, administering immunizations under supervision, and managing referrals and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely according to provider orders.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
• Administer immunizations within scope and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and referral coordinators.
• Maintain exam rooms, manage supplies, and uphold infection control standards.
• Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work environment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise independent judgment, and work collaboratively.

Work Environment

This role offers 8-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule. The position is located in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, providing access to a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, and nature viewing.
