Join Our Dynamic Laboratory Team as a Medical Laboratory Technician!

Job Description:


- Position Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
- Location: Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale, PA
- Shift: Nights (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend / As Needed
- Call Requirements: As Needed

Your Role:


- Contribute to a critical access hospital that has proudly served the Meyersdale community for over 70 years.
- Be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 emergency care and high-quality laboratory services.
- Work primarily in a fast-paced laboratory environment, catering to a diverse patient population of all ages.


Key Responsibilities:


- Utilize your phlebotomy experience to collect blood samples with precision and care.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses using state-of-the-art equipment, including:
- EXL Dimension
- Sysmex XN-550
- Softbank
- Sysmex CA-600
- Document and manage test results within the EPIC electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with a passionate team, supporting each other to deliver exceptional patient care.


Qualifications:


- ASCP certification for Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and experience with EPIC software.
- Must be a multitasker, self-starter, and confident working independently.

Dress Code:


- Scrub color: Standard hospital scrubs
- Unacceptable attire: Non-scrub clothing and open-toed shoes
