Contract Type:  Travel Contract

Shift Type: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a medical observation unit
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications accurately
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with physicians
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner electronic health records (preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of medical observation unit protocols
• Adaptability to changing patient needs and unit demands

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Must be willing to start ASAP and commit to a 27-week assignment
