This remote tax professional role serves clients with diverse tax needs and provides the support of an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed.ResponsibilitiesConduct tax interviews with clients using virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, or email) and support do-it-yourself online tax clients.Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.Understand that teamwork is essential to success—communicate regularly with leaders and peers about how your remote work is impacting results.Grow your tax expertise and apply knowledge to deliver high-quality tax preparation and client service.QualificationsCPA or Enrolled Agent certificationExperience completing complex tax returns5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or taxExperience conducting virtual tax interviews that build confidence in clientsTax planning and audit support experienceSales and/or marketing experienceExperience utilizing technology and remote collaboration toolsExperience completing individual tax returnsExperience in a fast-paced environmentAccess to high-speed, reliable internetExperience and skilled in technology (MS Teams and Outlook)Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email and chatExperience delivering effective customer service techniquesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsSuccessful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalentHigh school diploma or equivalent or higherMust complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS/state requirementsAvailability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax seasonSkill in researching information using various tax publications (IRS Publications/Instructions)Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $11.00 - $80.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans.
