Requisition ID 523284 - Posted - Americas Materials - Burdick Materials - Full Time - Driver / Delivery / CDL - United States - Utah Position Overview This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of transfer trucks and/or dump trucks (with and without pup trailers and tarping systems). Drivers will deliver all types of aggregates, including asphalt, to residential and commercial locations. This role requires customer‑centric service and a strong understanding of CRH safety policies to keep employees, customers, and the traveling public safe at all times. The primary duty is customer delivery, with additional internal needs including asphalt paving. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Keep time and material records. Follow verbal and written instruction. Understand different types and sizes of aggregates. Maneuver and back with pup trailer. Communicate effectively on the radio system. Connect and disconnect pup trailer. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience or equivalent. Certificates, License, Registrations Valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with double/triple and air brake endorsements; valid Medical Card as per DOT standard. Work Requirements 1–2 years related experience or equivalent. Incident‑free driving record preferred. Subject to drug, alcohol, and physical agilities testing. Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to communicate using two‑way radio. Basic math. Basic computer skills preferred. Physical Requirements The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The work environment may involve wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold or heat, and moderate noise levels.
