Job Responsibilities
- Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and design tailored therapy approaches to help them realize their functional milestones.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Leverage evidence-based strategies to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily routines.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely alongside OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide holistic, comprehensive care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their relatives on therapy techniques to ensure continued improvement at home.
- Document and Monitor Progress: Keep track of clinical outcomes and adapt treatment strategies as necessary to ensure patients remain on track to reach their goals.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a nationally accredited institution.
- Commitment to ongoing education with support for continuing education or post-graduate certifications encouraged.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- Current certification with the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
- A genuine enthusiasm for enhancing independence and functioning in others.
- Exceptional, empathetic communication skills with patients and team members alike.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to tailor approaches for diverse patient needs.
