Job Title: AWS AI Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced AWS AI Engineer to support modernization initiatives and build intelligent, scalable systems on AWS.

This role involves designing and deploying AI/ML-powered solutions, integrating models into production applications, building data pipelines, and contributing to platform transformation efforts. Ideal candidates bring strong end-to-end engineering experience with practical AI implementation-not just theoretical exposure.

Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ years of engineering experience designing AWS-based applications
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as:
• SageMaker
• Lambda
• DynamoDB / Postgres
• CloudFormation / CDK
• EventBridge
• S3
• Experience integrating ML models into production systems
• Strong programming skills (Python preferred; Go or JavaScript a plus)
• Experience building or consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Understanding of ML workflows, inferencing, and model lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems architecture
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with GenAI tools or embedding models into applications (LLM workflows, embeddings, semantic search)
• Experience with
• AWS Bedrock
• Kendra
• Step Functions
• Glue or Athena
• Modernizing legacy or mainframe workloads
• Exposure to financial systems, capital markets, or regulated environments
• Knowledge of
• Feature stores
• Model drift monitoring
• Automated model retraining
• Experience with enterprise CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline)
