JOB SUMMARY

The Journeyman Electrician's primary duties are to plan, layout, install and/or repair cable, conduit and equipment. This position will report to Foreman or Superintendent or other designated field leaders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED.

Valid NC JW License

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Must be able to read and interpret drawings and instructions

Must be able to positively identify wire colors and sizes

Must have a working knowledge of NED and common trade procedures and standards

Must be able to perform work safely with required PPE

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Must be able to climb and work off ladders and other elevated surfaces such as lifts

Must possess the minimum required tools for SE&M

Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation of electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, switch boards, and other electrical equipment.

Pulling wire and terminating

Conduit bending, cutting, threading and installation

Trouble shoot and repair electrical systems

Install light fixtures and devices
