Job Description

Emslie Technical Solutions LLC is a small technical design and drafting company serving the entertainment and experiential markets. Our diverse projects include Television, Film, Commercial, and experiential projects with clients nationwide.

This role is for a Technical Designer . Your responsibilities will include taking 3D technical design models from Technical Design leads and creating sheet sets and CNC deliverables from these models. Most of the work will be completed with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD. Some familiarity with these software packages is necessary. However, training on this software and our processes will be provided. This role reports to the Technical Design Lead on a project-to-project basis.

Responsibilities

• Finalize naming conventions for units and sort units into digestible assemblies.
\n
• Create Build and Install Sheet Sets in Autodesk Inventor and ensure that all relevant project information is included and accurate.
\n
• Ensure that all sheet sets follow our internal style guide, are comprehensive, and follow a clear narrative.
\n
• Prepare and inspect initial CNC vector files and ensure all geometry is clearly and accurately portrayed.
\n
• Assist Technical Design Leads in modeling when requested in accordance with technical design lead instruction.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in various fields preferred.
\n
• Ideal Candidate possesses 2-4 years of experience drafting with AutoCAD and Inventor.
\n
• Ideal Candidate possesses knowledge and a working understanding of carpentry, metalwork, paint, and laminate finishes and is familiar with general electrics and LED systems.
\n
• Familiarity with set fabrication techniques is a plus
\n
• Familiarity with Sketchup, Revit, Rhino, and Vector Works is appreciated, as many client files are in these formats.
\n
• Experience in Millwork, Custom Fabrication
\n
• Drafting Certificate a plus
\n
• Self-motivation and clear communication are a must.
\n
• Must solve problems and communicate project needs and complications.
\n

Most of the work will be performed at our office in Centennial, CO.

Travel for training and networking purposes may be necessary intermittently.

This posting is for an in-person role in Denver, Colorado.

Pay Range $26-28 per hour with PTO and other full-time benefits.
