Sr. Software Product Owner

Position Overview Coordinate product development efforts for the Surgical Robotics business, acting as product owner within the Software Engineering Center of Excellence. Drive prioritization and scope definition of software development with stakeholders, maintain the product backlog, and ensure alignment with business goals. Responsibilities Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define and prioritize features and scope. Maintain the product backlog, ensuring stories and requirements are clear, actionable, and aligned with business objectives. Leverage hybrid hardware and software (HW/SW) products using a scaled agile framework. Utilize object‑oriented design and modern programming languages, including C++, Python, and Simulink. Apply SDLC processes and tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, Stash, Confluence, JAMA, Git, and CMake. Coordinate design approach for multiple projects and complex medical systems. Navigate regulatory frameworks such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 26262, GMP, ASPICE, SOTIF, FDA 21 CFR Part 802, and IEC62304. Conduct risk management analysis using FMEA. Develop end‑to‑end product documentation, including software architecture, design specifications, anomaly tracking, and test reports to support compliance and audit readiness. Translate business, customer, and end‑user feedback into technical requirements. Plan and coordinate software releases. Utilize embedded systems development, including firmware and hardware integration. Apply embedded software architectures, real‑time operating systems (RTOS), and debugging tools. Leverage expertise from a Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification. Qualifications Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering or technical field. At least two (2) years of experience as a product owner or product manager for software engineering. At least two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Hybrid hardware and software (HW/SW) products using a scaled agile framework C++, Python, and Simulink SDLC—AUTOSAR—and tools including JIRA, Bitbucket, Stash, Confluence, JAMA, Git, and CMake ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 26262, ASPICE, or SOTIF FMEA Software architecture, design specifications, anomaly tracking, and test reports for compliance and audit readiness Software release planning and coordination Embedded systems development, including firmware and hardware integration Embedded software architectures, real‑time operating systems (RTOS), and debugging tools Certification required: Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager.
