Job Title: Human Resources and Payroll Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Oversee payroll, onboarding, and retention of staff, ensuring a diverse and talented workforce.
• Manage employee relations, performance management, payroll and HR compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to department managers and staff on HR-related and payroll matters.
• Identify and attract potential candidates through job boards, social media, and networking events.
• Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Ensure timely and organized communication throughout the hiring process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
• Document all candidate interactions and progress.
• Initiate and manage reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates.
• Stay informed on industry trends to improve recruitment strategies.
• Represent Holston Rehab at job fairs and networking events.
• Partner with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
• Participate in recruiting roundup meetings and training sessions.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for facility employees

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• HR leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting as well as payroll experience and recruiting as well
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
• Experience in recruiting or staffing coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and job boards.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering an excellent candidate experience.

This role is instrumental in managing all aspects of HR and talent management within the organization.
