Assembly Production AssociateThe Assembly Production Associate supports the manufacturing process by accurately assembling, inspecting, and packing parts in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. This role follows established procedures and work instructions to ensure products meet quality standards, while working safely and efficiently to achieve production goals.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret simple blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to understand the assembly process and quality requirements.Take direction from the supervisor to understand daily assembly procedures, production targets, and priorities.Follow established assembly procedures to build parts using hands, hand tools, and small machinery.Explain and demonstrate assembly procedures or techniques to other workers when needed to support team performance and consistency.Position, align, and adjust workpieces or parts to facilitate accurate and efficient assembly.Clean parts using appropriate cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths to prepare them for assembly or shipment.Pack finished parts for shipment, including labeling and bagging parts, adding corresponding instruction information, and placing bagged parts into boxes.Examine products to verify quality, including Bonnet to Body Testing and ECL inspections, identify quality issues, determine causes, and rework parts as necessary.Use basic manufacturing, machine operation, and general labor skills to support production activities as assigned.Perform inspection tasks to ensure products meet defined standards and follow clear standard operating procedures (SOPs).Maintain a safe work area by following all safety guidelines and using required personal protective equipment.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, actively listen, and follow directions to support smooth production flow.Essential SkillsExperience in assembly or manufacturing environments using hand tools, small machinery, and basic production equipment.Ability to read and understand simple blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports.Working knowledge of the English language, both oral and written, to follow instructions and document work as needed.High attention to detail with strong vision and hearing to perform inspections and identify quality issues.Ability to perform work in a safe manner and follow established safety procedures and SOPs.Manual dexterity with coordinated hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects of varying sizes.Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform repeated physical tasks throughout the shift.Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day in a production environment.Skill in active listening and following directions to support team-based production work.Integrity, reliability, responsibility, and accountability in daily work and attendance.Ability to learn new machines, tools, and production procedures as processes evolve.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in packing, packaging, and preparing products for shipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production environment.Exposure to mechanical processes and general labor tasks in manufacturing.Comfort working in a safety-oriented environment with clear standard operating procedures.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional and personal development through structured skill matrices.Interest in learning and performing product inspection and basic quality checks.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a structured Skill Matrix that supports professional and personal development, with pay increases tied to demonstrated benchmarks. The facility is clean, well lit, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent setting for all shifts. Orientations take place every Monday from 7:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with employees starting on their assigned shift the following day. The primary shift available is first shift, running from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Personal protective equipment requirements include steel-toed shoes, while safety vests, safety glasses, and ear plugs are provided on-site. Jewelry, including wedding bands, is not permitted in the production area to maintain safety standards. Shoulder-length hair and longer must be tied back securely. Work involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 45 pounds, and performing repetitive assembly and packing tasks in a structured, team-based environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conover, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
