TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF AVIATION SCIENCE MANAGEMENT The College of Science Engineering and Technology at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Aviation Science Management, who is competent in instructing students with an active research agenda. This is a 9‑month tenure track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Aviation Science. Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in refereed academic journals. Participate actively in departmental, school and university committees. Provide service to one’s profession and the surrounding community. Advise and mentor students. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Ph.D. in Aviation Management/Related Field from a regionally accredited university or an Aviation Degree with a minimum of fifteen years of aviation industry experience. Required Licensing/Certification: Pilot Certifications preferred. Work Experience: Supplemental field experience in Airport and/or Airline Management. Active research agenda as evidenced by refereed journal publication(s) at time of hire. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of: Policies, procedures, and practices. Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). Skills: Detail oriented. Effective customer service. Problem‑solving and decision‑making. Multitasking and time management. Both verbal and written communication.
