Assistant Professor – Developmental and Stem Cell Biology (Cedars-Sinai Research Scientist I) The Department of Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s is recruiting an independent Research Scientist faculty member (Assistant faculty rank) to join a new Center specializing in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology. This is a faculty appointment within the Cedars-Sinai Professorial Series intended for investigators pursuing independent research programs. The Center focuses on understanding fundamental principles of development and regeneration using both animal models and human tissue, and is a central element of the growth of Guerin Children’s. Faculty within the Center will work in close partnership with the Regenerative Medicine Institute, Departments of Computational Biomedicine and Biomedical Sciences, and other relevant units on campus. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree Demonstrated record of research in developmental biology, stem cell biology, regeneration, or related field with evidence of scholarly productivity through first- and/or senior-author publications Eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor in the CSMC Professorial Series Commitment to graduate education, trainee mentoring, and collaborative research Successful candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in higher education, including an articulated plan for contributing to programs that increase access and success of underrepresented students and/or local communities in the sciences. Our compensation philosophy: We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
