Pharmacy clerk is responsible for providing attentive and courteous customer service while receiving written prescriptions or helping customers with questions. Pharmacy clerk is also responsible for ordering, checking orders from suppliers, and stocking shelves in the pharmacy as well as general housekeeping.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitationRetrieve medications from shelves, count or pour medications, label containers, and price prescriptions. The pharmacist MUST always perform a final check on ALL prescription before they are placed in a bag.Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptionsEnter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacyFollow direction from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager, pharmacist must be present when clerk is in the pharmacyMaintain security of all controlled substancesMaintain adequate supplies, stock pharmacy shelves, place orders, check in orders received from suppliersFulfill general housekeeping dutiesProcess orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting paymentMinimize shrink through proper handling and storing of productMinimum Qualifications:Must be 16 years of age and 18 years of age to perform certain functions/tasksAbility to read, write, and perform basic math functionsPossess basic computer skillsPossess strong communication skillsPhysical Requirements: Telephone system, Ladder (must be at least 18 years of age), Pharmacy Computer, Case Cutter, Marking Gun, Cash Register, Pill CounterOur Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
