Responsibilities Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, and reporting while maintaining accurate records of patient test results. Ensure proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens and maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance. Analyze specimens using approved testing methods, including LC-MS or ICP-MS, and review and release test results accurately. Adhere to guidelines set forth by CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant testing environment. Follow established policies and procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels, identifying and correcting issues or notifying supervisors as needed. Required Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control measures. Experience in specimen analysis, result review, and reporting. Ability to work independently and follow strict safety and regulatory guidelines. Proficiency in maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation. Additional Skills & Requirements Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in high complexity testing preferred. Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred. Ability to stand and work at the bench for extended periods, with frequent walking or standing. Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds periodically. Transcripts may be requested throughout the consideration process.
