Sr Software Engineer – Licensing/AI Systems We Power the Magic! That’s our motto at Disney Experiences (DX). This role sits in the Disney Consumer Products – Licensing Technology organization within Disney Experiences. Note: This role is not open to sponsorship of any kind at this time. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Adaptive Planning models, sheets, and dashboards for enterprise‑level forecast planning. Develop custom integrations between Adaptive Planning and custom solutions using Java, Python, Custom Cloud Loader, and RESTful APIs. Design, develop, and provide oversight for web solutions for existing and new platforms. Analyze user stories, provide realistic estimations, and participate in sprint planning, scrums, demos, and retrospectives. Collaborate with product and other stakeholders to define scalable, maintainable solutions within budget and timeline. Create detailed software development documentation and assist in assigning tasks to team members. Build well‑designed, stable, performant applications using Java, Angular, and Node.js. Guide and mentor team members, providing oversight and direction. Recommend improvements to processes, technologies, and coding practices to enhance team effectiveness. Technologies We Use Java (Spring Framework, micro‑services architecture) Angular Node.js AWS MariaDB Docker Splunk, AppDynamics, and other monitoring/logging tools Required Qualifications & Skills 5+ years building highly scalable, performant production‑level applications. Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (model building, reporting, and integration). Strong knowledge of REST APIs, data transformation, and enterprise reporting tools. Hands‑on experience developing and deploying custom AI solutions using LLMs. Full development cycle experience (design, development, testing, analysis, launch). Excellent collaboration and communication across teams. Mentoring experience with junior team members. Agile team experience (product managers, project managers, designers, QA, tech). Strong unit‑testing and continuous integration skills. Deep knowledge of distributed production system orchestration and monitoring. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Licensing Financial Systems. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field/work experience. Location & Compensation Glendale, CA. Annual base pay range: $141,900.00 – $190,300.00 (subject to internal equity). Bonus and long‑term incentives may be offered.
