The role is a critical planning position within the PPE organisation, collaborating at all business levels and across all business functions.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global manufacturing business and play a key role in shaping demand planning capability across PPE. Working closely with commercial, operational and finance teams, the successful candidate will influence strategic and operational decision-making while supporting the continued development of the SIOP and demand planning process.Scope of RoleThis role requires an individual with excellent analytical skills to gather and analyze information, develop forecasts, and provide input into supply chain, production and financial planning as well as the SIOP process.The Demand Planner is responsible for making decisions that impact the demand plan, leading the demand consensus process and communicating those plans to the relevant stakeholders, as well as identifying and resolving plan variances, risks, and opportunities across the PPE business.The Demand Planner will also be engaged in the development of the Demand Planning process, systems, data and knowledge at PPE contributing to annual and strategic planning.Core ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning: Lead the monthly Demand Planning process for an agreed portfolio of products acting as the bridge between commercial teams, finance, and supply chain.Support the implementation and development of Demand Planning SoftwareTeam performance: Actively participate as a member of the Demand planning team at PPE, driving performance using KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias and value add.Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with and drive knowledge improvement of demand planning with internal and external stakeholders to validate customer demand, demand forecasts and market changes.Continuous Improvement: Support the Head of Demand Planning in the ongoing development, implementation and governance of forecasting best practices, planning processes, reporting tools and software platforms.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Finished Goods (FG) product availability and service (on time in full OTIF / OTD)Analyse sales data to generate accurate demand forecastsCollaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather input for demand planningDevelop and maintain inventory targets to align with demand forecastsMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planningIdentify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptionsUtilize advanced analytical tools and software for demand forecastingAdjust demand forecasts based on market trends and sales performanceDevelop strategies for new product introductions and phase-outsMaintain and improve demand planning processes and systemsCommunicate demand plans and adjustments to relevant stakeholdersConduct root cause analysis for any discrepancies in forecasts and actual salesPrepare regular reports and presentations on demand planning metricsParticipate in cross-functional meetings to align demand planning with business goalsPlay a key role in developing and driving the principles of the SIOP processSKILLS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field3+ years in a planning related roleExperience with demand planning software such as RapidResponse, SAP, Oracle, or similarExperience with ERP systems and demand planning softwareExamples of improving and driving the SIOP processPrevious experience of managing multiple SKUs/items in a complex supply chainStrong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis toolsAdvanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and data modellingProficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting techniquesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsProven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of Supply Planning, inventory management principles and supply chain processesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailUnderstanding of market trends and their impact on demandStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracyCapability to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisionsLocation/Travel:The role will be based at our manufacturing plant in Brenham, Texas and occasional international travel may be required to collaborate with colleagues at our Blackburn, UK facility and engage with customers and supply chain partners globally.Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?IDEX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
