Description
  • Assess patients in either inpatient or outpatient settings, crafting tailored treatment strategies to meet their needs
  • Provide physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and case managers to maximize patient recovery
  • Inform and guide patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, planning for discharge, and exercises to do at home
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatment methods, and patient progress per facility standards and regulatory requirements
  • Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to guarantee synchronized care delivery
Education
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Additional specialized certifications (e.g., geriatric, neurological) are an advantage, though not mandatory
Skills
  • Experience is highly valued; previous practice is strongly preferred
  • Capability to manage patients with intricate medical conditions and mobility challenges
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills are essential
