Speech Language Pathologist

Saint Joseph, MO, United States (On-site) Job Description The Speech Language Pathologist works under the supervision of leadership. Evaluates and develops plan of care and treats patients with communication or swallowing deficits. Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients, as directed by a provider, using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Is responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines. Responsibilities Establishes goals that maximize the patient’s recovery. Plans a treatment program, using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals. Treats patient's deficits consistent with approved treatment procedures. Documents treatment procedures and the patient’s response to them on a regular basis. Participates in staff meetings, family conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings, as appropriate. Participates in continual process improvement. Other duties as assigned Evaluates patients. Education Master's Degree - Graduate of Master of Science degree program accredited in Speech Pathology. - Required Licenses and Certifications Speech Pathologist - Licensed in Missouri, completion or in process of completion of certificate of clinical competency. - Required within 60 Days Basic Life Support (BLS) - (Not required if working remotely) - Required within 90 Days Travel Requirements Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations, - Required About Us Mosaic Life Care is a health care system in northwest Missouri.
