Accounting Manager

A dynamic and growing organization is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the overall accounting and financial reporting function. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the close process, overseeing cost accounting activities, and supporting a strong internal control environment. The position offers significant exposure to leadership and cross‑functional teams while contributing to operational excellence and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Support the execution and management of day‑to‑day accounting operations. Assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting. Provide guidance and oversight to accounting team members. Review project, production, or operational costing activities. Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and supporting schedules. Coordinate support for audits, tax compliance requirements, and other external reporting requests. Help maintain and enhance accounting procedures. Collaborate with departments across operations, customer support, supply chain, technology, and finance to resolve issues and improve business processes. Assist with financial systems administration. Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month‑end close responsibilities. Previous experience leading projects, mentoring staff, or supervising accounting personnel is preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes. Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools within a mid to large‑sized organization. Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling techniques. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and improve processes. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
