Position Highlights NP's - acute care certification upon applying strongly preferred 1‑2 years of experience strongly preferred Schedule requirement is nights/weekend Responsibilities As a Full Time Acute Care APRN or PA with Trauma and General Surgery, you will have the opportunity to provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. You will work closely with the Trauma Surgeons on call. Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred. Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred.
