Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) – Full Time Location: Woodhaven, MI Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity? We are looking for a motivated OTA/COTA to provide individualized occupational therapy interventions in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. If you enjoy helping people reach meaningful functional goals and thrive in a collaborative clinical environment, Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist residents with improving strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence. Implement individualized treatment plans based on established therapy goals. Help residents develop or regain skills needed for activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and self-care. Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising OT. Document treatment sessions, resident progress, and other clinical information accurately. Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety strategies. Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehabilitation professionals to support resident-centered care. Follow facility procedures and applicable clinical and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation is preferred.
