Position: Steward – Food & Beverage – Full‑time and/or Part‑time. Summary of Responsibilities To maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding areas, providing clean and sanitary silverware, glass, and china to all departments. Duties & Responsibilities Adhere to schedules and departmental/hotel rules and procedures. Follow proper dress and sanitation codes. Maintain uniform code compliance (shoes, nametags, hats, socks, etc.). Assist with plate‑up/dish‑up of banquets as requested, reporting to Sous Chefs, Executive Sous, Executive Chef, and F&B Managers. Ensure all dirty china, glass, and silverware is washed correctly and meets local sanitation and health regulations; keep dish stations organized and clean. Communicate and follow through on maintenance of equipment and surroundings; assist in general kitchen sanitation per kitchen supervisor’s instructions; maintain weekly cleaning schedule. Ensure timely trash removal during shift; keep garbage cans and back dock/dumpster area clean while adhering to food sanitation audit controls. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times; inspect dishware for damage and retain for supervisor inspection. Perform any other duties assigned by Chef/Sous Chef or F&B Managers while maintaining open communication and support for Kitchen Management. Requirements and Qualifications English proficiency. Experience in a similar kitchen environment with a clean and tidy work area. Good knowledge of sanitation and local health authority requirements. Verbal communication skills with managers and associates. Food handlers card or equivalent. Minimum one year of experience in the same or similar position. Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed. Manual dexterity to work with sharp objects. Flexible schedule: days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Supportive Functions May be required to perform a combination of additional supportive functions, with the percentage of time determined by the supervisor based upon property requirements. Regular attendance is essential; attendance irregularities may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
