Insurance Business Analyst

Location: Dallas/Plano TX (Onsite)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct meetings and interviews to gather requirements and elicitation from business stakeholders
• Performing process analysis and documentation through methods to ensure clarity and transparency
• Analyze current business processes, systems, data and workflows
• Creating detailed requirements documentation and specifications including wireframes, mockups
• Create user Journey, Workflows and use case diagrams
• Creating user stories, backlog and grooming stories effectively
• Prioritize and manage requirements throughout projects
• Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions
• Create test plans and test cases to validate solutions
• Perform user acceptance testing
• Developing in-depth understanding of client domain/systems
• Review of business processes and developing optimization strategies
• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and IT
• Effectively communicating business needs and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Researching and evaluating software, tools and automation options
• Preparing reports, presentations and business cases

Qualification/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
• Understanding of Insurance domain is highly desired
• Extensive experience on requirement gathering for enterprise web application development

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and their application to different project scenarios
• Experience in Analyzing and preparing structure top-down documentation for complex business requirements, considering functional, non-functional, and user experience aspects
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the software development lifecycle
• Good understanding of Database and experience in writing queries
• Very good communication and client management skills
• Strong understanding and experience in producing high quality deliverables like Wireframes, flow charts, process diagrams, use case documents, functional requirement document etc.
• Excellent documentation skills
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
