Senior Accounting AssistantThe Department of Community Corrections is currently searching for a Senior Accounting Assistant.The Senior Accounting Assistant serves as a key member of the Administrative Division. This position supports the financial backbone of the division by managing detailed accounting tasks, payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth flow of fiscal operations. The most important attributes for this role include:Experience maintaining detailed financial records, ledgers, and accounts with a high level of accuracy.Skill in preparing, reviewing, and reconciling journal entries.Ability to interpret and apply accounting procedures, regulations, and internal controls.Strong organizational and time management skills, especially in a fast paced operational environment.Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with staff, partner agencies, and vendors.Commitment to providing responsive, helpful customer service.Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive, supportive team.Willingness to share knowledge and provide guidance to other staff when needed.About the Department/Division:The Administrative Division of the Washington County Community Corrections provides essential operational support that enables our programs to function effectively and efficiently.
