Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility setting, assisting patients with daily living activities and supporting the healthcare team. This role requires compassion, attention to detail, and adherence to care standards to ensure patient comfort and safety. The CNA collaborates closely with nurses and other staff to facilitate efficient and effective patient care, particularly in a long-term care environment. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with routine activities of daily living including hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning.
• Perform range of motion exercises and provide skin care to prevent pressure injuries.
• Collect patient data and specimens such as urine, stool, and sputum as directed.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and pain assessments accurately.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to licensed nursing staff.
• Assist with patient transport and preparation for diagnostic tests.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment; perform post mortem care as needed.
• Support emergency procedures under nurse supervision.
• Perform clerical duties including answering unit phones, data entry, and coordinating supplies.

• Current, unrestricted Colorado CNA certification.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification at hire.
• Minimum experience in long-term care settings.

• Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care facilities.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and patient data systems.

• Must comply with state-mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Shared furnished housing available within city limits; no pets or smoking allowed.
• Work environment is a skilled nursing facility focused on long-term care.

• Night shift position in a long-term care setting.
• Shift hours and schedule to be assigned according to facility needs.
