This confidential startup is advancing the frontiers of AI by building cutting-edge software and hardware technologies. In this role, you will focus on compiler innovation with a deep emphasis on MLIR, enabling new levels of performance, scalability, and portability across AI workloads. The position centers on architecting and optimizing the software stack for next-generation accelerators, ensuring efficient code generation, transformation, and execution paths. Your work will directly shape how complex models are compiled, optimized, and deployed, bridging the gap between advanced algorithms and high-performance hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced compiler technologies using MLIR to push the boundaries of optimization, transformation, and code generation for AI and semiconductor workloads.
• Conduct research and development on novel compiler techniques that leverage AI methods to enhance performance, portability, and efficiency across diverse hardware targets.
• Develop compiler frameworks that integrate seamlessly with hardware architecture, system software, and toolchains, enabling efficient end-to-end product workflows.
• Engineer solutions that tightly couple hardware design with compiler infrastructures, ensuring co-optimization and maximized accelerator performance.
• Create co-design methodologies, workflows, and proof-of-concept implementations that showcase real-world benefits of MLIR-based compiler innovation in semiconductor applications.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise with MLIR (Multi-Level Intermediate Representation), including designing, extending, and optimizing compiler infrastructures using MLIR for performance, portability, and domain-specific workloads.
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, compilers, and AI algorithms relevant to semiconductor software development.
