Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills.Role ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient care in a Level I Trauma Center, including triage and management of trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes.Administer and monitor all common infusions and drips commonly used in trauma care.Collaborate with ED Physicians and Mid-Levels to deliver optimal patient outcomes.Participate in patient education and discharge planning.Read and interpret telemetry strips to assess patient conditions effectively.Float to the Observation Unit and Freestanding ER as needed.QualificationsCurrent certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.NRP certification is preferred.Recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department is essential.Must be willing to comply with fingernail policy; artificial nails are not allowed.Driver's license is required for verification of geographical eligibility.Work EnvironmentThe Emergency Department features:20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 observation beds, and additional hallway beds.Fast Track area with 6 beds and a separate triage area with 3 beds.Security staff available 24/7 within the department.Support staff includes Nurse Aids, EMTs, Paramedics, and Patient Sitters.Patient-Nurse ratios: 1:4 in zones, 1:6 in Fast Track, 1:5 in Observation, 1:1 in ICU/Trauma.Schedule and OrientationShifts available are 12 hours, including nights. Leadership will create the schedule, with specific weekend and holiday requirements based on department needs. The onboarding process includes one week of training, followed by departmental orientation shifts.Additional NotesThis role requires a commitment to patient care excellence and quality outcomes in a high-stress environment. All team members must comply with departmental policies and maintain current certifications.
