PRIMARY PURPOSE


Maintain accurate student attendance records at the campus level. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance and other data.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
• High school diploma or GED


Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
• Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing
• Ability to meet established deadlines


Experience:
• Two years of clerical or data entry experience preferred


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Records, Reports, and Correspondence


1. Collect and enter attendance into established database and verify accuracy according to established procedures.


2. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.


3. Process parent and doctor notes and transmit requests for student information.


4. Call parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and send out attendance warning letters as needed.


5. Report all attendance problems to the designated administrator.


6. Prepare and print reports as needed. Such reports may include attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, accounting reports, and others.


7. Compile, maintain, file, and distribute physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.

1. Assist campus office as needed.


2. Maintain confidentiality.


3. Follow district safety protocol and emergency procedures.
