Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking and preparing materials in a clean, well-organized warehouse that supports the production of machines used to distribute and spray liquid adhesives across multiple industries. You will work with purchase orders, material-handling equipment, and warehouse systems to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and correctly.

• Handle and process purchase orders accurately from receipt through fulfillment.
• Scan purchase orders using RF scanners or similar devices to track and confirm materials.
• Pick materials and parts from warehouse racks according to customer orders and shipment requirements.
• Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and other MHE, to safely move products within the warehouse.
• Use stand-up or sit-down lift trucks (hilos) to access and retrieve materials from racking systems.
• Follow established warehouse procedures for organizing, labeling, and storing products by customer.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure timely preparation of orders and shipments.
• Support shipping activities by staging picked materials in designated areas for packing and dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.
• Utilize SAP or other ERP systems to track inventory, update order status, and verify material movements.
• Be available to start early or stay late when needed to complete orders or finish projects.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials.

• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including racks of product labeled by customer.
• Hands-on experience picking parts or products per customer orders from warehouse racks.
• Experience operating material-handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts.
• Ability to operate stand-up or sit-down lift trucks (hilos); experience with both is preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners or similar devices for scanning purchase orders and materials.
• Experience using SAP; experience with another ERP system will be considered.
• Ability to read and follow purchase orders and pick lists with strong attention to detail.
• Capability to work a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule Monday through Friday and flexibility to come in early or stay late as needed.

• Experience with multiple types of material-handling equipment beyond forklifts.
• Prior experience working in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Comfort working in a production-support setting where materials feed into assembly and manufacturing operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with shipping, assembly, and other departments.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating ERP or inventory management systems.

The facility is large, well lit, clean, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional work setting. The central area houses sub-assembly operations for building machines, while warehouse workers operate primarily at the back of the building and in a dedicated back room for shipments. You will work with racked inventory labeled by customer, using material-handling equipment such as forklifts, stand-up and sit-down lift trucks, and RF scanners, as well as SAP or other ERP systems. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the expectation that you may occasionally start early or stay late to meet operational needs. Overtime is generally scheduled during the week rather than on weekends whenever possible, and requests for time off are typically honored when there is a clear need, such as completing or balancing project work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
