Network Infrastructure Engineer, Amazon Cloud

Salary: $180,000 - 225,000 per year Requirements:

• We need someone with at least 3 years of experience in data center engineering or operations.
• We require hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• We are looking for knowledge of network design and physical layout, including low-voltage copper and fiber cabling.
• We require an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• We prefer familiarity with IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF, and other routing and switching technologies.
• We prefer a broad understanding of the components and subcomponents that make up data center infrastructure.
• The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold, and continue to maintain, an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• We clearly communicate project progress and blockers to leadership and program management.
• We perform device build and cabling validation work.
• We coordinate cabling vendors and carry out quality assurance checks.
• We support network deployment activities during scheduled change windows, including migrations, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• We resolve customer requests through the Remedy trouble ticketing system.
• We troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction.
• We manage work intake and priorities through ticketing workflows and collaborate with stakeholders to remove project roadblocks.
• We travel within our geographic work area and may travel up to 40% outside the traditional area, including international travel when needed.
• We attend meetings, execute change management activities in the data center, deploy hardware, connect cabling, update tickets, and work with peers across AWS to improve how we operate.
