Job Title: Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $215,000 to $285,000.

About the Role

One of our top tier firms is seeking a highly motivated Bankruptcy Associate to join its New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring team representing debtors, creditors, lenders, trustees, committees, and other stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience, strong academic credentials, and exceptional written and oral advocacy skills. Litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court restructurings, and insolvency-related matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other bankruptcy court filings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex bankruptcy and restructuring issues.
• Participate in court hearings, depositions, negotiations, and client meetings.
• Advise clients on creditors' rights, bankruptcy litigation, and restructuring strategies.
• Collaborate with partners and team members on sophisticated bankruptcy and commercial matters.
• Manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3+ years of bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors' rights experience.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission required.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Litigation experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $215,000 – $285,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
