Description This position is for a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments. This is not a telework/remote position. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 8 years of relevant experience; M.S. Degree with 6 years of experience; PhD with 4 years of relevant experience Experience working with MIL-STD-810 and performing Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT). Experience working, designing, and/or developing with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) per MIL-STD-461 and Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) per MIL-STD-464. Experience working, designing, and/or developing with High-Altitude electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) per MIL-STD-188-125-1 and MIL-STD-188-125-2. Experience working, designing, and/or developing with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) per MIL-HDBK-344. Experience with hardware and software integration / test of complex RF communications systems. Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and block diagrams Experience with reviewing and using hardware assembly drawings and associated parts list. Experience with reviewing and using system and rack interconnect cabling drawings. Experience with RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator Experience using DOORS. Experience using Atlassian Tools. Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level; and a minimum of an interim secret clearance will be required to start. Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
