SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR

Position Overview Salary: $5,528.00 - $9,037.00 per Month (minimum based on classification). Final Filing Date: 6/14/2026. What You’ll Do Conduct field compliance investigations at cannabis licensees, ensuring adherence to public safety and environmental standards. Work closely with local, state, and other partners on cannabis compliance matters. Play a key role in developing and implementing progressive policies that balance industry growth with public health, safety, and community welfare. Operate statewide, with a primary focus on Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, and Sacramento counties, coordinating inspections and investigations with other governmental agencies. Working Conditions Will travel statewide, with the majority of work conducted in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, and Sacramento counties. Candidates outside California may be interviewed but must provide proof of California residence before the appointment becomes effective.
