Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Preoperative Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Pre-Op Unit Schedule This is a 12-hour day shift position, with variable hours from 0530 AM to 6 PM, working a 12x3 schedule. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre-Op Unit will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the pre-operative phase. The RN will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patients are safely prepared for surgery. Responsibilities Assess and evaluate patient conditions before surgical procedures. Prepare patients for surgery by providing information and emotional support. Administer medications and perform necessary interventions as prescribed. Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatment. Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Pre-Operative Unit.
