Staff Accountant

A.D. Makepeace Company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. What you'll be doing: Prepare daily cash balance summaries and reconcile cash activity to bank balances Prepare general ledger, bank, prepaid expense, and other account reconciliations Identify and resolve discrepancies and variances Prepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries Support accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reporting Assist with the annual audit and prepare supporting workpapers and documentation Maintain accurate and organized accounting records Research and respond to accounting and financial questions Partner with managers across the organization to resolve accounting issues Support cash management activities through online banking platforms Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives What we're looking for: 1–3 years of corporate accounting experience Working knowledge of GAAP Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities Strong written and verbal communication skills A collaborative, dependable approach to teamwork Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment If you're an accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow your skills and make an impact as part of a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr A.D.
