Fleet Mechanic

This role focuses on performing independent preventive maintenance and complex repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and voice-guided PM systems. You will work on cars, light and heavy trucks, vans, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment, contributing to the reliability and safety of one of North America's largest commercial fleets. The position requires strong diagnostic capabilities across multiple OEM platforms, including diesel, electric, and alternative-fuel systems, while maintaining accurate service records and adhering to strict safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Service a broad range of fleet equipment, including cars, light and heavy trucks, vans, forklifts, and material-handling vehicles.
• Conduct complex diagnostics and high-level repairs across multiple OEM platforms, including diesel, EV, and alternative-fuel systems.
• Disassemble mechanical and electronic components, repair or replace parts, and reassemble equipment to proper specifications.
• Maintain accurate and organized service records for all work performed, including mileage, usage hours, and defect documentation.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner and ensure equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic and air brake systems, driveline components, and emissions/after-treatment systems on Class 6–8 diesel vehicles.
• Use diagnostic platforms such as Noregon, Snap-On, Nexiq, or Autel to interpret diagnostic trouble codes and guide repair decisions.
• Operate shop tools and equipment such as hoists, welders, tire-changing machines, and other small tools safely and effectively.
• Follow established preventive maintenance programs, including scheduled services and defect identification across the fleet.

Work Environment

You will work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment that supports a full-service fleet maintenance operation. All shifts are open, with a primary schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, including weekday hours of approximately 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday hours from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The shop provides world-class tooling, ergonomic setups, and company-provided PPE, while you supply your own basic hand tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.90 - $33.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
