BIG is currently looking for Intermediate Architects / Designers with 4-8 years of experience to join the New York office. The role collaborates with architects, urban designers, and landscape professionals on projects that span a range of scales and contexts. Job requirements Completion of accredited bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or related field of study. 4-8 years professional experience as a Designer, not including internships. Experience through SD, DD, CD, CA phases preferred. Experience with projects that have been built and completed preferred. Licensure and/or LEED certification preferred. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English - spoken and written. Strong conceptual, design, and graphic skills. A flexible and open attitude towards new and iterative ways of working. Experience working in a leading American or international architecture office. Strong abilities with Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Revit, V-ray and Enscape. Strong organizational skills, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage one's own time. Job responsibilities Convey a clear project narrative and conceptual ideas to internal and external stakeholders. Develop design options in collaboration with the design team. Prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project. Take initiative in response to direction from Project Leadership. The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experiences.
