DESCRIPTION

Learning Disabilities Teacher‑Consultant (LDT‑C)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Openings exist for LDT-Cs on the Child Study Team at the elementary and secondary levels. Responsibilities include case management, developing IEPs, and conducting IEP meetings. Responsibilities also include completing educational evaluations and consulting with teachers on educational strategies. The position is full-time, and tenure track; there are additional opportunities for summer work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: LDT-C Certification Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act Successful Criminal History Clearance Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

10‑Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 School Year is SStep 1 BA/BS + 45/ MA ($70,523) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

ANNUAL EVALUATION:

Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
