Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Colonial Heights, VA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP for schools in Virginia
• Previous experience providing speech and language services in a school setting preferred
• Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians, such as SLPAs, is highly valued
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy individually or in small groups to students within the school environment
• Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs using evidence-based evaluation tools
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Provide supervision, support, and guidance to an assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
