Job Title: CDL Class B Driver (On-Call Operations) Location: Stephens City, VA Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (On-Call) GovFirst is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Drivers to support on-call transportation and operational needs in Stephens City, VA. This role is ideal for professional drivers who are flexible, dependable, and available to respond to short-notice assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CDL Class B vehicles safely and in compliance with all DOT, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform on-call driving assignments for transportation, delivery, and operational support services.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition.
• Transport equipment, materials, or personnel as assigned.
• Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and required documentation.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and instructions from dispatch or project management.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws at all times.
• Respond to short-notice or emergency driving assignments as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or project management.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Clean driving record with ability to pass DMV motor vehicle records check.
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Strong reliability and willingness to work on-call and flexible schedules.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Professional and safety-conscious driving behavior.

Required Experience:

• Prior commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience with on-call, dispatch, or logistics operations is a plus.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Required Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship.
