About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87144!
Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NM license can pend at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CPI, NIH, OCN preferred Must-Have: - COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted through proper documentation - Colostomy care - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Renal failure management - Accessing Ports - Blood Product Administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Phlebotomy - Starting IVs - Heparin and Insulin management - PCA management - Surgical drains - Chest tube management - Interpretation of ABGs - Non-invasive airway management - Oral suctioning - Oxygen administration - Tracheostomy management - Wound Care/Wound Vac Description: The registered nurse will provide care to patients in a medical surgical setting. The nurse will manage patient ratios of 1:5. Candidates should have experience with telemetry and various patient diagnoses, including DM, CHF, and COPD exacerbation. Responsibilities include managing patients with co-morbidities and administering prescribed medication and treatments. The role requires the ability to perform clinical assessments and interpret diagnostic tests. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the scope to meet facility needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for providing holistic patient care. Weekend shifts may be required depending on census and staff availability. This position may involve patient education and family support during recovery periods. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
