CDL General Manager – Yard Operations – Marshall, MI

Marshall Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager – Yard

Operations to lead our Marshall, Michigan operation.

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of yard operations, including employee management, customer relations, safety compliance, and operational performance. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient yard operations, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard operations and ensure customer expectations are met
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop employees and supervisors
• Yard Audits
• Coordinate yard activities to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Develop and improve operational procedures and processes
• Maintain strong customer relationships and address operational concerns
• Monitor staffing levels, performance, and productivity
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service
• DOT compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience, preferably in yard operations, logistics, transportation, trucking, automotive, or manufacturing
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
• Experience managing employees in a fast-paced operational environment preferred
• Must have a CDL A
