Cashier Position

The purpose of the cashier is to play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth transactional experiences for our valued customers. You will be the frontline representative of our brand, responsible for greeting and interacting with customers, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Exceed customer expectations by delivering outstanding service.
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Follow the cashier script to assist customers.
• Execute cash management, return, layaway, and exchange policies.
• Communicate professionally with all associates and customers.
• Provide product information and answer basic customer inquiries.
• Coordinate with loaders and respond to customer requests.
• Efficiently execute precise transactions.
• Stand in designated area to indicate availability.
• Emphasize the value of joining the Rural King loyalty program.
• Introduce the benefits of the Rural King Visa card.
• Respond to incoming calls at the registers.
• Ensure the reconciliation of registers and filing of paperwork.
• Ensure proper deactivation of EAS devices.
• Maintain heightened awareness to prevent loss.
• Execute cashier responsibilities thoroughly.
• Refill popcorn and coffee stations.
• Keep shopping carts and restrooms clean.
• Use general office equipment.
• Participate in cross-training.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support.
• Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King's values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
