Description Type: Non-exempt, Full-Time (Benefit Eligible) Department: Hospital Services Work Days/Hours: Friday & Saturday - 5:00 am - 1:30 pm and Sunday & Monday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Reports to: Product Management Manager Location: Jenny Eller Donor Center, Fresno, CA Pay Range: $17-$18.25/hour Pay Grade: 4 Work Modality: On-site Job Summary This position is focused on ensuring the efficient and courteous delivery of blood and blood products to hospital partners and/or other agencies across the Central California Blood Center service area. Essential Responsibilities Transport blood/blood products to hospital partners. Pickup and delivery of blood product orders, specimens, equipment, supplies to facilities across Fresno, Mariposa, Merced, Kings, and Tulare counties and may travel outside of this region as needed. Resolves and/or escalates issues with delivery and/or access to products. Cultivate positive hospital relationships. Maintain accurate records. Identify potential hospital service issues and implement proactive intervention measures. Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, including blood handling process. Immediately report any compliance issues to department management. Monitor and maintain Hospital Services vehicles, updating records and charts as necessary. Attend all 1:1 and department meetings as scheduled. Requirements Qualifications and Skills Education/Licenses/Experience High school diploma or GED. One year of customer service experience or prior courier experience, preferred Must have a valid California driver’s license, and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years. Skills Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred. Excellent ability in providing professional, efficient, and friendly service. Must be self-motivated and a team player. Ability to coordinate with other departments on client-related matters. Willingness to accept additional hours where necessary to meet operational needs. Prior computer skills using Microsoft Office (primarily MS Word and Outlook). Physical Requirements Constant driving Frequent lifting/carrying between 0-10 lbs.
