What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse (RN) , you will:

• Provide professional nursing services and clinical oversight to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in community-based residential settings
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to support individual health and wellness goals
• Administer medications, vaccines, and physician-ordered treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Conduct regular health assessments, nursing visits, and follow-up evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, guardians, service coordinators, residential staff, and support teams to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate medical records, assessments, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Medicaid Waiver requirements
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency nursing support as needed
• Coordinate medical appointments, referrals, and community healthcare services
• Monitor medication administration practices and maintain medical supply inventories
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and person-centered planning processes
• Provide education on health, wellness, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention to individuals and staff
• Travel regularly to residential programs, medical appointments, and agency locations throughout the service area to ensure continuity of care

QualificationsRequired

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, vehicle registration, and insurance
• Ability to travel regularly within assigned service areas
• Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and healthcare documentation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Ability to complete required background checks and screenings

Preferred

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Experience in community-based, residential, behavioral health, or long-term care settings
• Knowledge of Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) regulations and Medicaid Waiver services
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning and person-centered services

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Primarily Monday through Friday schedule
• Flexibility based on individual and program needs
• On-call or emergency response responsibilities as needed
• Travel required throughout assigned service area

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and drive as required
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds or more when necessary
• Ability to navigate residential, community, and office environments
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
