INTERNAL - Plastic Welder/Installer/Pipefitter

Hilton Mechanical Contractors is seeking any current employees that are interested in working at our jobsite in Cartersville, GA. This role involves welding, fitting, and bolting up plastic fusion pipe. Compensation & Incentives We're offering a $2/hr commitment bonus for selected applicants who agree to remain on this project for a minimum of 6 months. This bonus is contingent on fulfilling the full commitment period and may be rescinded if the commitment is not met. Candidates must be willing to travel to the jobsite location as needed. Potential Responsibilities Fuse and install Aquatherm (PP-R / PP-RCT), Niron (PP-RCT), and/or HDPE piping systems on commercial and industrial projects Perform socket fusion, butt fusion, and electrofusion as specifications require Lay out and route piping from isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and field conditions Cut, face, align, heat, and join pipe and fittings Set hangers, supports, and anchors Operate and maintain fusion equipment Test piping systems for leaks and ensure compliance with codes and project specs Learn new fabrication and fitting processes and techniques Maintain consistent quality requirements Operate and collaborate effectively under foremen Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and other work permits Coordinate with other trades on an active construction site Preferred Qualifications Able to read and work from isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and submittals Strong fit-up and layout skills Familiarity with working on active construction jobsites Reliable transportation Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction Aerial, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications To Apply Submit your resume to this job posting or to HR.
